Family Jammies

Alright. I have mentioned in my previous post that i sewn three matching jammies for myself, my husband of course for our dear young man. I sew these jammies we have last Christmas 2006. This was my presents for my dear happy family aside from the presents that are wrapped under the tree. I was going to make another matching jammies last year but i got pregnant, busy in blogging and we had a lot of trips. So i wasn't able to make another jammies for three of us. This Christmas has a lot of things going on. I decided not to make because i am not in the good mood to sew and i might just messed it up. I am sure that to those who knows how to sew, know it pretty well that sewing should have a concentration, because if you don't have it, you will end up messing what you are doing.

But anyway, here's the very first matching family jammies that i sew. And i am hoping that i can find some time again to touch my sewing machine and sew another matching family jammies like what we are wearing on the photo.

I Made One For Myself

Now it is my turn to have jammies. In fact, i sew three jammies with same fabrics for three of us. But this one was my very first jammies that i made for myself. I like the cloth because it is very light and it can be washed and wear, very soft to my skin and light. I really thought i am gonna have a hard time to make a big jammies for myself but i was surprised when it turned out really nice and comfortable to me. I've had this jammies for almost 4 years now. The model was really happy that she was wearing her own fruit of labor, that is why she's got big smile.

Jammies For My Son

This was the first jammies that i sewn for my son when he was just a little over year old. I love to make my own stuff so i decided to sew jammies for my son. I have a lot of jammies that i made for him but he outgrew of them already that's why i gave them all to my friend who has a son too that is one year younger than my son. Lately, i haven't find time to make another jammies for my little young man, i should be making some for him by now because it is winter time so to keep him warm. But computer is making me occupied if i have free time. I was really proud to myself when i made this jammies because this was the first time i tried to make one and since then, i cannot stop making him some more. But since blogging started to get my attention, i kind of slow down in sewing, too bad! I got a lot of fabrics to sew in my closet and never did touched them anymore.

Gift For Treasured Friend

I gave this one to my dear friend Gloria. It was her birthday and decided to make this quilt for her. That's how special she is to me. When i treasure a friend, i see to it that she will receive nice things from me and of course she will be kept in my heart forever. Every time i visit her in her place, i see this blanket in her couch and she told me that she uses it when she'll watch TV or just want to relax in her soft couch.

Yellow For Her Child

I so love making quilts, whether it is for myself, for my family or for my friends. I have so many friends here in town that got pregnant and i gave them quilts made by me. In fact, not just here in town, i also made some quilts for my friends from out of state. I still have so many fabrics that i've got to sew but i am thinking how to design them. That's why every time i go to the fabric store, can't help to look for fabrics that are on sale and some quilts designs.

I made this one for my friend here in town when she got pregnant of her second child. It was a girl so i made yellow, but the back of this quilt is pink. I forgot to take picture of the back view.

Security Scrap Blanket

When we had our Peach days here where i live, i saw some nice quilts that made by experts and there was one quilt that really caught my eyes. It was very stylish and cute! So i decided to make my own. This quilt was just some scraps that i gathered and came out with this. I love to drag this along with me wherever i go especially when i do my blogging. I love to put something in my legs to keep me warm and comfy. Too bad i left this to my mother's place. But she told me that she will keep it until we will be back there again. I so miss my security blanket though.

My First Quilt

When i got here in America, i never thought that my interest in sewing will be more enhanced. My neighbor across the street sewed my pants one time and she asked me if i know how to sew. I do know a little bit but i am willing to learn more about it. And it just happened that she was able to talk to my father in law which lives lives also across the street. I was really surprised when he gave me a sewing machine when i celebrated my first mother's day. It was a wonderful gift from him, he is indeed a very generous man.

So it got me more interested to sew and excited to learn more. My neighbor then taught me simple things. Then later on she taught me how to make quilts. I never did expected it that i could make one. And the first quilt i made was for my son. I thought that this would be nice if i can wrap him up with this warm, cozy and very comfy blanket made with love by me.
